With over 25 years of experience in the electrical construction field, Juan Candeleria cultivated a deep-seated passion for the industry, envisioning a close-knit, family-operated business. In May of 1992, Juan, alongside his children Jacqueline, John, and Mark, laid the foundation for City Lights, LTD. Drawing from Juan’s extensive expertise in electrical construction, Jacqueline’s proficiency in accounting, and John and Mark’s hands-on field experience, the family embarked on a journey of shared learning and growth.

Initially headquartered on Harrison Street in Chicago, Illinois, the company swiftly gained renown for its quality and dependable workmanship. As City Lights expanded, Juan handpicked a team of seasoned managers, consultants, and field personnel, while Jacqueline, John, and Mark assumed increasingly pivotal roles within the company. Following Juan’s unexpected passing in June 2011, Jacqueline, now President and majority owner, seamlessly transitioned into leadership, upholding her father’s legacy of prioritizing client needs, employee welfare, and community engagement. Today, City Lights, LTD. operates from multiple office and warehouse locations, symbolizing not just growth, but the enduring spirit of family-driven excellence.
